Markings:	She’s a small tortoise, small enough to pick up with one hand, possibly an Afghan or Russian tortoise
Circumstances:	She was sat in the doorway of her house in the garden sunbathing, close to the time when she’d go in her house to go to sleep.

Found a road away, battered as foxes must have taken it out of our garden, over a fence or two and tried to get it into the shrubbery surrounding the railway line. Waiting to get it back from the person who found it.
