I am sorry to hear Buddy is missing. Our cat has been missing too but has now returned. I am leaving a comment because including my cat this is now the 4th cat I have heard of going missing recently in this area. Of course this could just be coincidence, but it's very odd. My cat returned only to wander and go missing again, which was such unusual behaviour because previously he always stayed close by and never wandered far. When he returned he was very dusty/dirty and smelled of something like creosote and was very thirsty but did not look thinner or unhealthy. At first we thought he had been trapped in somewhere but were puzzled when he went again. He is now back with us and seems to be getting back to normal. It might be worth getting a litter tray ready for your cat when he returns as it may be an idea to keep him in for a few days. Although he doesn't really like them and has already lost one collar in a day I have put a collar on my cat and am keeping him in at night.I wish I could offer more information about your cat, but just hope he turns up soon. Best wishes.
