Try putting his litter tray outside, he should be able to smell it (recognise his own scent). Hope he comes home soon x

My husband thought he saw Fergus in our back garden. I went out with a pack of Dreamies, shaking them and calling his name. Fergus appeared and cautiously came to take food from my hand. With some persuasion I got him nearer the house and then inside. Other than being very hungry, he doesn't seem any the worse for his eight missing days. Note that I had put out a bowl of dried cat food every evening while Fergus was missing. Most mornings the bowl was empty but we never saw any animal eating from it. So we assumed that another cat or perhaps hedgehogs were eating the food. having seen Fergus wolf down the contents last night we now realis it was probably him coming to eat the food in the middle of the night.
