(10 December 2023 at around 23:00hrs)
Location: Braybrook Street, London W12 0AP, UK
Health: Injured or unwell
Age:
Sex: Neutered Male
Collar: No
Microchipped: Yes
Markings: Owner will know ditinct features.
Circumstances: First time cat came to us from under a warm car in the street while taking out our bins. He was very vocal, and despite his nice fur, he felt skinny to the touch. We gave him some food and the cat slept outside in a box I prepared for it. It didn't leave the area during a week and after it got in a fight with a neighbour's cat, he spent 1 night and 2 days in my shed without leaving it. We took him in on the 2nd night as temperatures dropped and winds picked up. The next morning on a Saturday we took it to a 24 hour hospital, where it spent 1 week at the vets clinic. They failed to contact the owners (phonecalls, voicemails and letters to their address). The cat was either abandoned on purpose, or the owner lost it and did not update it's microchip details, hence cannot be contacted.

Why did the microchip not reunite with owner's?

as stated in the description, sadly the owner never responded to the vets attempts at contacting via calls, voicemails and letters send to his home address :( the hospital could only keep the cat for one week so now it's back with me until (if) someone comes forward

Thanks for your message. Sorry I didn't read hopefully on hoilday and get back to a message from the vet. I took a stay in 4 year's ago the same found him on the street. Micochipped owner not found with contact number or address. So he is my boy now. I believe we are ment to make them a family member.

After 3 months of waiting for owners to reach out, we decided to officially adopt him and changed his chip details to us.
