Other info: This cat appeared at our (multi-cat) household a few weeks ago. Very nervous and timid. I don't think he's used to being away from home. He'll come in and stay overnight, but won't let us near him/her to check gender. He's good with our cats, so might be from a multi-cat household. Being well-fed at the moment.

Found 'owners' who had actually adopted him from a rescue centre a couple of months before he turned up with us. He had escaped after three weeks with them around the end of October. The couple lived a few hundred yards from our house. They contacted us in January, popped around and identified a very timid cat as the one they had adopted. His name was Coby, but he didn't respond to that or them. As he wouldn't approach anyone, they left a basket and ten minutes after they left, he came back in through the catflap, so we scooped him up and brought him back to the couple. Happy ending, we thought. Lovely couple, lovely cat, he's got a home. When my partner and I popped downstairs around 3 am, he was sitting on our sofa! Contacted the couple, and they said they weren't sure what to do next as he obviously didn't want to be there. So, we received microchip details, and now 'Timmy' ( timid) is keeping us, rather than us keeping him! He is learning to trust more each day, and loves our youngest cat, Bandit - a bromance going on there! He is finally putting his tail in the air, sleeping well, staying in, answering to his new moniker, and generally more affectionate. He chirrups, and plays ...so, fingers crossed, he decides to adopt us indefinitely. He is about 6 years old.
