Buddy had been missing for 6 days. Each day at 5pm I would search the field where he was last seen and call his name. I also went out around 8pm to call his name when it was dark and sound could travel further.. On Saturday I put outside the house the blanket Buddy sleeps on and scattered the contents of the vacuum cleaner on the garden. I also hung out some unwashed dirty clothes of mine. This seemed to work as he returned home 1am on Sunday
