Circumstances:	She was coming to our house daily and coming inside, this was for at least two weeks before she gave birth to her kittens at our home, my daughter was asking people on our street if they owned this cat, but was not able to find anyone, that is why we rang our local vet for advice, they then advised us to bring the mother and kitten, to scan the mother for microchip
Other info:	This cat started coming to our house everyday, we would give her food, she does not look as if she is mistreated, she was pregnant, we would leave our outdoor cupboard open in case she needed shelter, then on Wednesday the 22nd of May she gave birth to three kittens in our cupboard, we rang up our local vet Hampden Vet Hospital in Aylesbury and they told us to bring them in and they could check to see if the mother is microchipped and check out the kittens, our neighbor Ellen Jordon offered to take them to the vet, she came back and said she was not microchipped, and offered to keep an eye on the kittens to see if they would nurse from the mother because we were concerned the mother cat was not interested, and the neighbor said she had what would be needed so she could hand feed the kittens, but she then showed a picture of the mother cat nursing the babies, so we were looking for her to bring them back to us, as she had stated she did not have money or cat food to continue looking after them, but instead she still has the cat and four kittens and is advertising on Facebook the mother and kittens for sale, we were looking after this cat and have been trying to find the owner through your web site, the cat had her kittens in our house, so Ellen Jordon is one of those people that you are warning people about, stealing someone elses pet and then selling them for money

I would suggest you contact the Chiltern branch of the Cats Protection League who are based in Aylesbury and ask for advice concerning the cat and her babies. They are also on X and Facebook and have proved helpful when contacted this way. It is now a legal requirement to have cats microchipped,, selling the cat and kittens when they are not yours is morally and possibly unlawful. I would say act as soon as you can to prevent these poor mites ending up in who knows hands. Good luck with this and thank you for doing the right thing.
