She hadn’t come home from her evening walkabout 6 days ago (Tues night) and it rained very heavily all night and the following day. I assumed she’d just taken shelter somewhere and wasn’t particularly worried, so I only started putting up notices on FB Thursday evening/Friday morning. She was found Monday morning in a shed about 3 1/2 miles away (by road but closer over fields). The person kindly took her to Hook Norton Vet’s but didn’t leave their details so I can’t thank them. She’s chipped but in a different country where there is only one register and her details are up to date —> we’ve only just relocated back to the UK and had thought the register was international. It’s not and the vet could only see that the chip was registered in another country. Sadly, we had not been told this by either the chip company or our vets who have loads of experience with expats and people relocating with their animals in both directions! She’s now on a UK register. The vet had received the Pets Reunited poster that morning — Someone saw it straight away and messaged me via the local FB page where they’d seen my post made a few days previously with the same photos (before findings ‘Pets Reunited’). It was someone from the local FB page that told me about your site! So, it was a combination of FB and Pets Reunited that got her home. Thank you for such a great service! She’s a bit anxious, thinner and dirty, but she’s well despite potentially crossing the A361 (!) . And of course she’s getting loads of cuddles!
