Circumstances: We have noticed this little kitten in the area for about the last 3 months. Thought it belonged to someone until we noticed it going through bins for food. She is obviously a bonded and very shy. We have started to feed her outside but with winter coming we are hoping the owners will come forward.

Are you able to take to a local vet and see if she is chipped? They will probably loan you a cat carrier. If not ask on NextDoor website. Good luck.

Thank you reggiemolliers. That is the plan, but she is still very scared and shy. I have managed to pick her up (after 4 days of building trust) but still some time before she will trust me to put her into a carrier. My first point of call is to make sure she is fed and has shelter till I can confidently get her into a carrier without causing her too much stress. She is a lovely little girl.

No one came forward. Animal shelters were dismissive and unhelpful. These charities shall not receive a penny from me or my estate. “Annie” now lives with me and my two other cats. She is spayed, chipped and vaccinated
