Circumstances:	He was on his cage in the living room. I opened the back door to take some washing out to dry and he flew through the living room, into the kitchen and, I think, was heading to land on my shoulder (as he does all the time) but, instead he flapped past me and into the garden, over the seven foot garden wall and off. I ran round the block to see if I could find him but, no luck. I spent a couple of hours walking round telling everyone that Alfie had gone missing and handing out my telephone number. He has been spotted several times about a mile away but no one has yet managed to catch him. He is very tame and will get onto your hand if you hold your hand out flat and place it under his feet. He gets onto your hand if you say "step up".

Alfie was found by a couple of people walking their dogs in a local park. He was just sitting in the grass. The man picked him up in a towel, wary that he could be vicious, but realised he wasn't so opened up the towel and Alfie climbed onto his shoulder and stayed there while the man walked home. He phoned his neice, who is a police woman to ask her advice as to what to do, and she realised that she had seen a post about a lost parrot on Facebook. She went back into the post, found my details and contacted me straight away. She gave me her Uncle's telephone number and address, I then phoned him and went round straight away. It was definitely Alfie and I am pleased to say that he is home safe and sound.
