LOST CAT: Black cat called Joshua - Bicester area, Oxfordshire

LOST
Joshua
Name: Joshua
Breed & Species: Moggy (short haired) cat
Colour: Black
Went missing: 13 years ago
(28 July 2011 at around 23:00hrs)
Location: Moor Pond Close, Bicester, Oxfordshire OX26 6, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 19 years old
Sex: Neutered Male
Collar: No
Microchipped: Yes
Markings: Completely black with sometimes one white whisker!
Circumstances: Joshua is obviously being fed by someone as he is going missing for longer and longer periods o I hardly see him anymore except for the occasional visit and this has been happening since last year but this year since summer he has been missing more and more.
Other info: He is extremely vocal and a very good hunter. He likes dry food and loves licking the jelly off wet food. He keeps going missing and it is happening more and more frequently so he is obviously being fed by some one in Bicester but I think it may be some distance as no one in my area who I have spoken to has seen him. He is very much loved and missed. Please do the kind thing and take him to the vet to be scanned. He is also a real lap cat and loves a cuddle

Hi, I am contacting you because I have had a similar problem with one of my cats-he's black as well. He dissappears for anything from 14 hours to about 30 and I too am convinced someone makes him welcome and feeds him, this is so irresponsible, so one day I ran off some flyers and distibuted them in the vicinity I thought he was going to and within an hour of doing this he returned home, could have been a coincidence or maybe someone got the message, who knows but maybe its worth you giving it a try. I worded it carefully so as not to offend, but pointed out that the cat was not a stray and comes from a very loving family. By the way we are Langford Village, but I'll certainly keep my eyes open for Joshua, and hope he comes home very soon, Liz x

Hi,Twice this week I have seen a very vocal black cat in bure park nature reserve. The first time it was up a tree and I coaxed it down and it was very friendly and still vocal. Today at approx 5pm I was agin walking my dog ver near to where I saw it the first time, and I heard meowing. I thought it was stuck up a tree again but it was just sat at the bottom and making noise :) obviously it is bank holiday weekend so I think the vets aren't open but it I see it again on Monday I will try my best to get it to the vets. My telephone number is 322886.Hope you find him soonJen

Hi, is Joshua still missing, as someone told me that they had been feeding an all black on and off for about a year in Tangmere Close. I do think it is a younger cat than yours but have only seen it from a distance. Apparently it appears every now and again and is alwasy hungry. Let me know if he's still missing and I'll keeep a close eye out for him. Sian

Hi, have you found Joshua? We have found a cat that matches your description about 2 months ago now in Southwold. I have had him checked for microchip and he doesn't have one, he didn't have a collar when he arrived. The local rescue centre didn't have any room for him, so we have been looking after him ever since. We distributed fliers in the local area and called in the vets to notify them but couldn't find his family. You can reach me at burcu [DOT] gorgulu [AT] gmail [DOT] com
