Hi there - before I approve Leroy's report - can I just double check that you don't have a photo for him? If not, could you find a photo of a similar looking cat on the internet?

Hi thereI do not want to mislead you but we saw a friendly ginger cat (definitely new in our area) on Sat (apologies as I only checked my emails today). We saw him on Mallards Way near The Bramblings. He looked well and was not showing any signs of distress. We then saw a ginger cat on a railway line behind Garth Park. Sorry, as it is not much help but we will keep looking. Good luck. Renata

Any progress on that photo? I saw a cat matching Leroy's description near the top end of Gavray drive. I took a couple of photos but couldn't get very close!

Was walking through Bur Park this afternoon 4th Nov 2009. I saw a very orange coloured cat. He seemed out of sorts with direction as though he was not familiar with the area. The cat seen walking along the footpath that runs away from the main road between Purslane and Lucerne end of Bure Park.I lost my cat last year, she was found a mile away from where we live. It is possible that your cat has wondered that far. They can walk for miles and miles.Don't give up the search.

Don't really know how this works but there is a cat listed as lost (apricot british shorthaired) called Leroy, then further down the list a Leroy (apricot british shorthaired) called Leroy found. Could this be the same cat? Has he been reunited with his owner?I think thelist needs to updated. Some animals that have been reunited should be removed so things don't get to confusing.

You're right. This is the same cat. My mistake - I didn't spot it. I need to make it even more obvious to people that they need to close off their exisiting 'Lost' report rather than creating a new 'Found' report when their pet comes home. This list is as up to date from the data we have. The tricky part is getting people to come back and tell us when they are reunited with their pet. We're working on the next version of the site which will make it much more useable from this point of view. Many thanks for taking the time to leave your comments.Nick
