FOUND PIGEON: Grey and white pigeon - Bury area, Greater Manchester

FOUND
Unknown
Name: Unknown
Breed & Species: pigeon
Colour: Grey and white
SimpleColour:
Found: 4 years ago
(05 August 2019 at around 19:00hrs)
Location: Gigg Lane Stadium, Gigg Lane, Bury, UK
Health: Healthy
Age:
Sex: Unknown
Collar: No
Microchipped: Not sure
Markings: Beautiful green and purple colours on neck
Circumstances: A neighbour alerted me to the bird walking around communal gardens. It seemed to be having trouble flying but otherwise healthy. I thought it may have been exhausted so took it in and gave it food and water. Tried to release it yesterday in the Cemmetary. It flew into the trees and stayed there. When I went back later it was on the ground again so brought it back home. I can't just let it walk about outside as there are lots of cats and foxes here.
Other info: There is a tag on one of its legs. It isn't a metal tag like racing pigeons have. It is a rubber ring which has a number and 4 asterisks. No other I'd stamps under its wing as far as I can see. Very friendly and obviously been cared for.

Had a look on their website. They don't take domesticated birds.
