Circumstances:	We have a raised flower bed and he jumped from under the lavender shrub into the house when I opened the back door
Other info:	I do think the cat belongs (or has belonged) to somebody as he seems well-fed.

The cat comes in whenever we open the back door (not always but more often lately). Even though we have no food for him he seems to be staying in our back yard on the off-chance we might give him some. In turn this makes us feel guilty. He is a very friendly cat.

Since the photograph was submitted I have only seen him once (on Wednesday afternoon). It was his back view and he was about to jump into the alleyway. Because we don't feed him I think he's figured that out..but he still looks a healthy boy. I forgot to mention a quirky feature he has though and his owner will know exactly what I'm on about. You see in the photo he has his leg in the air? Well, he did this kneading motion on the carpet (and floors..and worktops!) with his front paws. Usually, I've only seen a cat do that when sat on someone's lap. This cat seems to do it all the time....very lightly..and then he starts purring. He's also got a very big head that makes me think he's a boy...plus an extremely long tail. I hope all this helps.:-)

Contacted initially the previous evening saying that she thought the cat may be hers so I've been looking out for him..and today he came into the house as he was crying to come in! I rang Amanda so she came round to check if he was her cat..and, fortunately, he is! She showed me photos of him on her phone and he's definitely the same cat. I am so pleased they have been re-united as Oscar had been missing for 5 days. I didn't see him last week as I've been away, which is why I haven't seen him for a while.
