Name: Unknown
Breed & Species: Dutch Rabbit rabbit
Colour: Brown and White

Found: 5 years ago
(07 July 2019 at around 21:00hrs)
Location: Chelmsford CM1, UK
Health: Healthy
Age:
Sex: Unknown
Collar: No
Microchipped: No
Circumstances: Neighbour saw it, in shared garden, at 8.55am. I saw it about 3pm, back in garden, then going along the street pavement, in and out of gardens of different houses. Reported sighting to the RSPCA national advice phone line, but the rabbit disappeared. It came back into the shared garden at 9pm that night. Because foxes and cats come in the garden (with dogs in gardens on either side), took it inside, to keep it safe.
Other info: Small. Looks still young. Brown eyes. White front paws. Brown back paws. Brown tail. Has a typical 'Dutch' breed white 'saddle' of fur, on the front part of it's back/body, and a white stripe down it's face, from forehead to nose. It's brown fur looks almost like a tortoiseshell shade. It looks like it could be a cross breed (possibly with a Netherland Dwarf?).

Neighbour suggested putting a 'found' poster (with no photo or description of the animal on it), on the lamp post, outside our flats. The rabbit's owner saw the poster... and only lives 2 doors away! They emailed through a couple of photos, to confirm ownership - and the rabbit was safely handed back to them (gone home, after it's little 'adventure' exploring the neighbourhood!).
