I live in Woodside road and this cat was on the platform of Woodside tram stop this afternoon. Quite wary but eventually let me stroke him, and his coat does look a bit grubby as if he’s spending his time outdoors. I went looking for him this evening but couldn’t find him again. Suggest that he’s taken to

a vet to see if he has a microchip. Emma, can I talk to your husband to see whether we can find out where the cat is spending his time and maybe arrange collection?

My husband has now found out some more information. Next to the builders yard where he works is a timber yard. They've told him the cat lives in a house that backs onto the timber yard with another cat that doesn't leave the garden. This cat goes everywhere though! It is out all hours and is begging for food from the blokes in the yard. I am hoping one of them will have the time to go and knock and tell the owner how far their cat is wandering.

Good morning Emma. Thanks for the update and good news that the little cat has a home. It was slightly alarming though to see him jumping down onto the tram tracks especially when it’s dark. Probably not a lot his owner can do to stop him roaming when he’s out though. Thanks very much for your update. Regards Steve
