LOST PARROT: Grey with dark pink chest Cockatoo parrot called George - Cwmbran area, Newport

Health: Healthy
Age: 11 years old (approx)
Sex: Male
Collar: No
Microchipped: Not sure
Markings: siver band on left leg .
Circumstances: George has always flown around the house and has never shown any interest in going outside. A friend came to the door and were chatting. George joined us and settled on top of the door as he always does. He was enjoying some attention and suddenly flew at my friend and instead of flying back in, he went upwards and sat on the roof. There for a couple of minutes ,I was calling him and thought he was going to come back to me but he took off in a loop. We lost sight of him and he has not been seen since. We immediately went looking around neighbourhood and calling him . I looked til it went dark and have been searching since early light today
Other info: Light - mid grey. Rose coloured breast pale pink crest

George was spotted today by myself 4:30 in a tree along the path that goes behind the bungalows on the bottom of Fairwater way where the monkey bars used to be Beaufort close NP44 4PR

I have been following George around as sightings came in . He was up trees and trying to gain confidence to fly to me . Every spare moment I sat with him talking and offering food . 3 days ago he had flown to an area nearer home . Sat for hours with him and I could see he was desperately wanting to come home . Went to see him this morning and after a while he flew out the tree to me. Now home warming up had good feed .
