Received a phone call to report black cat in front garden. Asked caller to invite cat in to their home which they did. Collected cat and took to vet which confirmed it was Rusty.

Phew - a lucky recovery after an unfortunate turn of events. Hopefully he'll settle into his new life in Didcot quickly. All the best to you and Rusty!

Thank you. He has settled in well. Desperate to get outside, but he''ll have to wait a while until I get him vaccinated. That can wait a couple of weeks..

I need to reinstate this loss. I am sorry to say the nightmare has not ended. Received a call from a family whose black cat went missing from the same road at the same time as we collected Rusty. They were adamant it was their cat, so we had to hand him over. We only had Rusty for one day, they had their cat nine months. WE have to start all over again.

Just taken a call regarding a black cat in East Hagbourne. Couple came back from holiday and neighbours told them a black cat has been living in their log shed and greenhouse. It tried to get into neighbours house but she shoed it away. Cat was still in log shed when we arrived but scarpered as we approached. Couple have kindly agreed to try to shut it in if it sleeps in greenhouse again. There is a freshly ploughed field behind the house so mice will be plentiful. Fingers crossed. Four weeks missing tomorrow.

Four weeks now. One or two sightings of seemingly strange black cat not far from vets, but unable to approach to identify. Not giving up hope.

One or two sightings of stray black cat locally but unable to confirm identity. Believe Rusty is still in locality. Still searching for him..

Received a call from a lady in East Hagbourne who had been feeding him for a week then invited him inside. She called us, we collected him and took him to the vet to confirm he wasn't chipped and was neutered. The person who owned him previously in Gloucester came to confirm it was him. It is Rusty. Blessed be.
