Both have turned up this morning, having spent 3 days in a hole somewhere, probably a badger set. Thank you pets reunited for your kind help.

The dogs reappeared about 40 minutes apart, Lilly the mother first, not in a very good state and likely to loose an eye, having clearly spent the majority of time underground, we think a badger set. Dolly returned with a Spring her step although filthy. Such a relief.

So glad to hear that they are both home. How is Lilly's eye doing?

Hi Nick Dolly appears to be on the mend, she is out of shock and off the drip. The vets took her out briefly and they are going to investigate the eyes properly today. They were full of grit and soil and it’s a matter of where they are scratched and how deep to make a judgment on just the need for drips or more, she had been bitten by a badger on the snout, just below the eye and the bottom lip, so initially they were not sure if the bite had penetrated her eye. Thanks again for your help and concern, the help from the dog community has been overwhelming to be honest.
