BADGER'S HOME!!!! Badger's story ..... well we are all beyond amazed and can't stop smiling now that Badger is home where he belonged. He had been missing for 4 months and 19 days, in the New Forest. Yesterday, my parents received a phone call from a lovely lady a couple of miles away. A cat had been visiting her for the last 6 weeks, regularly morning and afternoon. It was clearly domesticated, but very hungry - eating bird food off the ground. She started feeding him as he was starving. She also phoned all the local vets - none of them said that a cat matching his description (which is very distinctive) had been reported missing. My parents had reported his disappearance to all of the local vets, and when I reported him as missing via Petlog, all the vets within a 30 mile radius get automatically alerted (I will be following this up!). The cat stopped visiting the lady for about a week, before returning a couple of days ago. She mentioned it to a friend who fortunately had seen a poster (which was still up). She sent a picture to the lady, who immediately phoned my parents. I whizzed over there yesterday, but there was no sign. Today the lady and her mother continually called him and searched for him, and he turned up. My parents brought him straight home, and he was immediately at home, demanding a lot of love and hugs - I was worried he wouldn't remember - I needn't have been. This truly is the best way to end 2019 - miracles really do happen xx
