This cat turned out to belong to a near neighbour, but in her words "I knew the cat wasn't lost". We'd even put a collar on her with my mobile number on it but she ignored that till the very end. So basically she ignored all attempts to contact here, until we again contacted the Vet to relay the message that the cat was being adopted by the finder. Then she went ballistic. She'd ignored the lamp post posters we'd put up but then contacted me on the mobile phone number that was attached to the collar when she'd been told she was about to be adopted.

It was adopted by the finder. It subsequently transpired that it only lived a few doors away, ignored the posters, and the lady didn't want it back anyway. Anyway it's chip should now be registered to him.
