Circumstances:	Moppet is elderly and rarely goes out. She is usually snuggled on a fleece mat with her sister Mittens.
Other info:	Very thin. Needs to take thyroid medication daily.

Moppet was found this morning by someone who kindly took her to the vet. I was contacted via Havant Huddle and went to see her. Sadly she had experienced trauma to her head and was bruised and emaciated. Given her existing health conditions it was thought kinder for me to have her put to sleep. It was an incredibly difficult decision but three vets at the practice agreed it was unlikely she would ever have a good quality of life. I was able to be with her when she died and I am incredibly grateful for that. She did recognise me and knew I was there. I just hope I did the right thing.
