Circumstances:	He was stolen from the H & M store on High Street. I reported to the police that my dog ??was stolen. They told me he was taken to a shelter. I asked them where they said they did not know they were taking him.

Have you spoken to the local Dog Wardeb for the area he was taken? Have you contacted Battrsea cat and dog home? They have details on their website. Have you spoken to the RSPCA? Did the police mean taken to council kennels or taken to a rescue? You have 7 days to claim back or he will go to a rescue. Are the microchip serials up to date? Was there an incident that caused the dog to be taken by police?

You need to call 101 as if the police took him it should be logged. They will need to check log for you. Same with the RSPCA if they were called out should be a log.

reggiemollieros just now Just to add - you probably realise this now but it is not safe to leave any dog unattended on the street. You were very lucky to get Gecko back. Hope all is well with him.
