On Sat 22 Sept 2018 we had a message that a cat like Josie had been seen that morning in the garden of a house backing onto the canal – on the wrong side of Seabrook Rd. This arose from one of many phone calls I had made to local people a few weeks earlier. Josie normally keeps away from roads and having crossed it into strange territory must have got disoriented. So we produced a large number of leaflets and put them through doors of all houses backing onto the canal and lo & behold very quickly received a report of another nearby sighting of her looking for food on Sat evening. Calling her along the pathway during daylight gave no response but enticed by her food at dusk on Sunday she appeared about 100 yards away and came trotting over – clearly very pleased to have been found. She is completely unharmed but a little thin and very hungry. She is incredibly affectionate and now extremely happy as indeed are the whole family. An emotional amazing outcome 5 whole weeks after she went missing!
