The cat is maybe living locally so knock on doors all around - to ask if anyone knows him. When you knock on doors, don’t show a photo of the cat, and give only a brief description, let the potential owner describe their cat to you, saying if there are distinguishing features. If no owner is found, then get the cat checked for a microchip, free at a vet. Put up posters but do not include a photo of the cat as it could be vulnerable. Just give brief comment and contact number. If an owner comes forward then ask them for proof of ownership, photos, and any distinguishing features, before you hand cat over. If the cat seems unwell then a nearby vet can give advice after scanning for a chip. Don’t leave the cat with any vet if cat does not need treatment. Also please feed him and provide water, in case this cat is lost. It will help gain trust for scanning. Please do not say exact location of the cat, even if someone asks, as this could put the cat in danger. Ask people to private message you if they have information. Please ring me on 07905130533 asap if you haven’t got a really secure cat carrier. I have a scanner to check instantly for a microchip. I live in Hoxton x

Have you got a secure cat carrier to take cat to the vet yet, to be scanned. Have you notified nearby vets, ie Medivet in Cross street Zasman in Liverpool Road etc on google maps put your postcode in search engine just saying nearby vets and a list of contact details will appear xx
