How long have you had him for? 2am is really not a good time to let cats out, they should be in at night. If youve adopted from a rescue then im sure this will have been in their homing policy. Can you put his soiled litter tray by the catflap

Hi Rusty, he's a year old and we've had him since he was 9 weeks old if I remember correctly. It's not like we forced him to go out - he decided to leave around that time. We've jammed the cat-flap open as he's currently still being fussy over using it. We didn't want to close it in the night-time so as to prevent consistency issues with training. A significant amount of money was spent on a cat protection fence to keep him in and that also doesn't stop him - he's jumped over it and back into the garden at least 5 times before he left.

He's not a rescue. The litter tray is currently in the garden.

He's been found. Weirdly, in the school across the road, a few hours after we canvassed the area with pamplets. We went past the school several times calling him during the time he went missing without hearing a peep. Thank you so much to all who called, posted on social platforms and spread the word!

He was found in the school premises close to the house. We were calling him whenever we walked around in the area including passing the school many times during the 2 days he was missing, without hearing anything, though last night he made quite a noise when called. Thank you very much to those who called, posted on social media and spread the word.
