Hi are you able to take to a vet for a scan for a microchip? It a free service . Also can you report to Battersea they will give you a reference number. You can do it on their website. Thank you

do you have any other pics of this cat ? we lost a similar looking cat about a month ago in the bexleyheath area, this one looks similar a bit more messy fur but if he is unwell/injured and also been in the wild for a month i doubt his fur would be perfectly groomed, he was a very friendly cat loved riding around on peoples shoulders, could of jumped into a delivery van or something
