Circumstances:	It was a hot day and the neighbours were having a party. A stray balloon landed in the living room as the door was open ( collecting laundry) my parrot was terrified and flew out towards Uppingham Road.

*Urgent: Lost African Grey Parrot Humberstone Area LE5* Hi neighbours, my African Grey Parrot has flown away from my house on Saturday 9th July in the evening around 7:50 pm. May I request you to check your garden and surroundings please. He may be hiding around bushes. His name is Shiv and has a red tail. He’s very timid and will growl or scream if distressed. Please call/ message 07948814444 if you have any information/ any signs of red feathers

Shiv had flown all the way to Thurmaston where he approached a lovely couple who provided him with food and water. I received a phone call to check whether it was him. When I approached him he instantly recognised me and we safely took him back home.
