Hi.. Is this the same cat that's on the 'Found' poster pinned to a tree on a road in Leyton? Cat in the poster is sat on or in front of something red & white.....

Hi yes that’s correct it’s the same one

Someone posted a photo of the poster onto a local facebook group and the contact number on there is sadly illegible so wanted to make youa ware so you could maybe redo it just in case any possible owner or friend of owner sees it, they could then contact you if the number was clear. How long ago did you find he cat and how long has the poster been up?

Cat was given to local vet and rehomed

Just seen this. Can I ask which vet and when cat was found and when it was handed over to the vet? Apologies for all the questions, but I'm an admin for a volunteer cat rescue group in Waltham Forest and that's where your found poster was posted, so just in case any possible owner comes forward claiming the cat might be theirs, it would be good to have this information to hand. Thanks.

It's Leyton Midland Vet. The cat was found 4 days ago, it was handed over yesterday and the vet rehomed it.

Do you remember the name 0f the person you handed the cat over to, was it the receoptionist, a nurse or the actual vet?? Did they actually tell you that they have already rehomed it or could it have been that they would rehome it of no owner comes forward? Or might it have been that they found the owners and cat now back home with them? Apologies once again for all the questions, but if the cat is still with the vet we at Waltham Forest For Cats - WF4C may be able to help.

I don’t know the name of the persons, but they tell ld is that it has been rehomed already and the kitten has settled in very well.

Are we definitely talking about the same cat in the photo? As you used the word 'kitten', but the cat in the photo and in the poster looks like an adult cat, possibly even elderly?

Turns out this cat hasn't yet been rehomed, she's been placed with a foster so that the proper time & checks can be done in trying to find the owner. If no owner found then it sounds like the fosterer would give a permanent home
