Came back himself. I was checking again around 23:30 on the food bowl I left for him outside the door and noticed that food eventually disappeared. I immediately went out and called for him as food could be finished by some other cat in the neighbourhood. First I saw shadow on the wall and next thing Sphynx jumped off the fence. Happily home.
