FOUND CAT: Black and white cat - Liverpool area, Merseyside

FOUND
Name: Unknown
Breed & Species: Domestic short-haired cat
Colour: Black and white
SimpleColour:
Found: 3 years ago
(10 September 2021 at around 18:00hrs)
Location: Woolton Road, Garston, Liverpool L19 5NF, UK
Health: Healthy
Age:
Sex: Unknown
Collar:
Microchipped: Not sure
Circumstances: The Cat emerged from the bushes of the graveyard at the address, close to the footpath to approach me. I could not get the cat to follow me home so it has remained in the graveyard. I have seen the cat in this location twice over the last two days, and I presume it remains there. Its health was that it was very thin which suggests it has not been fed properly in a long while.
Other info: the collar has a small metal bell, the cat is very thin and meowed a lot to me as it approached me as a stranger. The cat appears to be hanging around in Allerton Cemetery. I tried to take it home with me but it refused to be picked up.

Is it possible to get a photo to possibly assist. Have you asked nearby rescues such as Garston Animal Rescue. Have you left any food and water?x

I'll definitely look into calling them. I've visited a few times since with a tin of catfood and my laptop (to try and take a picture) but the cat has been no show. Hopefully it will turn up again sometime. I'm told by the local residents its often there.

I haven't seen the cat there in the days since, but I hope it will return there. I'll try and take a picture next time I see it, and try that site you suggest.

I do live near there. If I see again I'll call you (I'll bring my mobile). Usually when I've seen the cat it's by the graves on the right hand side (alongside the footpath).

I visited the cemetery again just now and still no sign. I asked the residents there and they tell me the cat has sometimes moved on and disappeared from the graveyard for months on an end and then returned and been seen again. Best thing I can do is keep an eye out in surrounding local woodland.

Hi do you remember some of the cat's face markings?

Tantheman
Hi, sorry I don't remember it too well. I vaguely remember it as a black cat with big white patches (some over the face) Not seen the cat in the graveyard again for a while now.

Alright. Thank you for replying. My cat has pretty distinct facial markings which is why I asked.
