(08 February 2022 at around 14:00hrs)
Location: Stockton, Newport TF10 9AZ, UK
Health: Injured or unwell
Age:
Sex: Unknown
Collar: No
Microchipped: Not sure
Markings: Beautiful grey tabby markings on the body
Circumstances: The cat was sitting under one of my hedges in the lane that runs along the side of my garden. The cat is in the same place again this morning and I suspect it has been there all night. I haven't seen this cat before - it's certinly not a feral cat that patrols this rural area. The cat look rather lost and is very subdued and may be unwell or has had a bad experience perhaps on the nearby road.
Other info: He/she doesn't look like a feral cat. Some discharge from both eyes.

An update about this cat. I took him to the vet yesterday afternoon as I a bit worried about his breathing. He has cat flu (or similar) so the vet gave him a broad-spectrum antibiotic which should deal with it in a few days. He was scanned but he has not been microchipped. He has not been neutered either. The vet thinks he is about 7 yrs old and apart from the flu he is in good condition. I kept him overnight in my greenhouse. he has eaten well this morning and seems a lot better already. But someone must know who this beautiful cat belongs to. Please come forward and arrange for him to be taken home.d e

Hi, this may be a long shot but I lost my cat who looks exactly like this one. Nico is registered on this site as ref:PR82344.It seems a very far way from home, but we have had local thefts of cats and he could be anywhere by now. Is there anyway I can send you more pics of Nico to double check?

Please send more photos to me on ppdcfrd@yahoo.co.uk. Your cat seems to have more white than the cat who is still in my garden. When I took the cat to the vet the other day, the vet thought the cat was around 6-8 years old. Since having the flu antibiotic jab he is much improved. I hope he is yours.

The cat is very friendly and clearly likes being around people. He likes being stroked and tickled. He spent a lot of yesterday morning sitting in the sun in my garden and following me around. He obviously wanted to come into the house. When i took him to the vet the other day I had no problem getting him into a cat carrier. Does this sound like your cat's personality?

Update on this lovely cat: The cat continues to reside in my garden. He is eating well and is much healthier than he was when i found him on Wednesday. But no owner has come forward in response to this posting or to other posts I've made on FB and with several vets' practices. He needs a home and a kind owner. i can't take him becasue

because I have a cat already. So Cat Protection Telford will take him today (Saturday) and he will be placed with a foster home initially with a view to putting him for adoption. He is a lovely cat - v. friendly and easy to handle - and will make someone a great pet. He needs an owner who will care for him properly.

This lovely cat was taken by Cats Protection telford (Shropshire) last Saturday 12th February and placed with one of its foster carers. He will examined by a vet and any further medication he needs for his cat flu will be taken care of. He will also be neutered. In due course he will then be offered for adoption if no owner has come forward. It is now 9 days since the cat turned up in my garden, lost and ill. No owner has responded to any of the social media postings I made about the cat. As the cat is also not microchipped it is not possible to trace where he has come from. If you think you know how owns the cat then please refer to Cats Protection Telford.

Cats Protection Telford came and took the cat. He was in much better health than when I initially found him in my garden, so the antibiotocs were hacving a positive effect on the cat flu he was exhibiting. Cats Protection have placed him with a foster home and by now will have given him a full health check and any necessary vaccinations. He will also have been neutered and microchipped. The aim then is to find someone who will adopt him. He is a beautiful cat, very friendly and comfortable with people. He deserves a new owner who will care for him and keep him safe.
