Markings:	Plain black cat, short haired, small, but unsure of age.
Circumstances:	Found in road on Morrell Ave, OX4. Moved to grass verge by a passer by, who knocked on the nearest house to see if it was theirs. I felt I had to try make to locate owner to let them know :-(
Other info:	Not wearing a collar.

Thanks Sophie, for going to the trouble to report this. We had a look along Morrell Ave this evening, to see if it might be our young cat which went missing from our home in Headington, a few weeks ago :/lostandfound/view-details.asp?reportID=2431but it looks like the cat was removed earlier in the day.Our cat is microchipped, but had lost his collar a couple of days before going missing. Although he looks black from a distance, he actually has grey hair on his chest and ring markings on his tail. I don't suppose you noticed whether this was the case with the poor cat found on Morrell Ave.?

I wouldn't like to say about there being some grey, it looked completely black to me. I hope you find your cat. Sophie
