The dog was taken to a nearby vets to be checked for a micro chip, she didn't have one. The vet then refused to let us take her home with us and kept her over night. She was then taken to the dog warden and shipped off to Stoke on trent Kennels. Even though we offered to re home the dog and left our number with various people from the vet to the dog warden no one would tell us where the dog had gone, we only found out through trawling facebook and the internet. Nearly two weeks later and we found her. Safe but very withdrawn and thin, refusing to eat and chewing her tail. We arranged to go to the Kennels and She instantly recognized us. She is now settling in to her new home with us and seems to be loving it. The original owners were never found.
