Unknown
Name: Unknown
Breed & Species: Domestic short-haired cat
Colour: Black
SimpleColour:
Found: 7 years ago
(13 July 2017 at around 09:00hrs)
Location: Yarnells Hill, Oxford, United Kingdom
Health: Healthy
Age: 14 years old (approx)
Sex: Unknown
Collar: No
Microchipped: Not sure
Circumstances: It has been haunting our garden and house for a long time, worrying our own cats, but today seems to think it lives here and won't go away. It seems more nervous and a little aggressive. I think it must live locally - perhaps owners on holiday? We lost a similar cat 3 years ago, but this one does not look or sound like ours. Would like to know it does have a home and is being fed.
Other info: Quite a large cat with a thick tail

I believe this is the cat that goes hunting in the Seacourt allotments in North Hinksey Lane, at the village end of the allotments. It always looks well-fed and healthy and I assumed it lived in one of the houses opposite. A poster locally might help.

I think it's here too often to also be crossing the bypass to the allotments. I suspect it lives locally, but would like to know as it does remind us a bit of the cat we lost 4 years ago, although it doesn't look and sound quite 'right'. Our resident cats don't approve of his visits, so we haven't been able to catch him to get him checked for a microchip to see if he is ours.

He isn't around very often now, as far as I know. He was in one evening a couple of weeks ago. You say you adopted your cat. Is there any possibility it could be ours (see my report on Del 2/12/13.)? He would be 12 now and is microchipped. Perhaps he now lives somewhere between the 2 houses!

The cat has not been around for a while, so we assume he has a home to go to.
