FOUND
Name: Unknown
Breed & Species: Domestic Shorthair (DSH) cat
Colour: Ginger
Found: 9 years ago
(03 September 2014 at around 06:00hrs)
Location: Botley Road, A420, Oxford, Oxfordshire OX2 0AB, UK
Health: Deceased
Age: 11 years old (approx)
Sex: Unknown
Collar: No
Microchipped: Not sure
Circumstances: I found him/her on the side of the Botley road just before Abbey Road, where the towpath starts on the way towards Port Meadow. S/he had probably not been there long but sadly was definitely deceased and looked like she had been struck by a vehicle. I moved him/her out of the road and onto the side of the towpath. I'm sorry that I couldn't have done more - it was very early and the vets wasn't open but I hope the owners read this and can recover the body of their pet. I am so sorry to post this news.

Hi, it's quite a distance but could you take a look at the listing AF13-4116 and confirm if any similarity? Thanks.

Hi, I've had a look at your report but he doesn't look the same. The poor soul I saw this morning was lighter I think and te stripes were not as well defined. So sorry but I hope you find your boy safe and well.

Hi. Can you please check the photo of our cat Aslan who disappeared in July- AF13 3947. I know it's far in time and place, please check though.Thank you.

Definitely not Aslan - there were no white patches on the cat I found. I hope you find your boy safe and well. The body of the cat I found had been recovered by Wednesday night. Hopefully his owners found him. But if it was the council or if he had been taken to the vets he will have been scanned for a microchip and the owners notified (if he was chipped). Either way it is very sad for the owners but at least they have some closure.
