This looks a bit like my cat charley that has been missing since April. She went missing from Jericho so a bit unlikely that she ended up in east Oxford but I'd like to check if possible

Hi there. We moved to wantage about 6 months ago, from the Cowley area. Our car went missing from wantage at the same time. I know it's a very long shot, but he could have tried to get back to Cowley. This cat you've found looks very similar to him! Does he's have a spotty belly by any chance? And spots on his sides? He is micro chipped; have you has this cat checked for a chip at the vets? Thanks.

Hi, this cat isn't chipped, I'm afraid. (I did scan him or her the statutory three times just to be sure.) And the photo maybe makes it look a bit darker than it is. So sorry -- I hope yours shows up. Best, Katherine (Lost and Found Coordinator, Oxford and District Cats Protection)

To queergirl77: if you can let me have a phone number (send it to actiononmissingcats@gmail.com), I can ask the finders whether you can come and have a look -- I'm sure they'd be happy to, since they really don't think they should be keeping a cat shut up in their flat.

Ok, thanks anyway. This cat does look very similar to ours who went missing! Does it have the spotty belly by any chance? Ours was a half Bengal, so quite a lot of spots. His name was Mowgli.
