The following may help... Put his used litter tray/favourite bed/toy (&/or contents of your vaccum) outside, they can smell it for miles & help them find their way home - your dirty laundry on the line - the smellier the socks the better!! Go out looking late at night & early morning - your voices (& theirs) will travel further. Knock on neighbours doors & ask them to let you look in garages/sheds as they'll be scared & may hide from the stranger but cry out to you. Also, where are their safe places - where they go in your house? Use those to help you think like that, do they hide in dark & low or up high? Get low under bushes, decking etc, get ladders & explore places that can be climbed Make a flyer & post it thru letter boxes Contact all the local Vets & rescues with the flyer (update them when found). https://www.bluecross.org.uk/advice/cat/what-to-do-if-your-cat-is-lost

Thanks! Sadly the cat just arrived from its old owners, so not familiar with the place :(

Quite a skinny looking black and white cat seen this morning in Follets Close area of Yarnton - did not recognise it as one of the local cats. When we lost our cat, we were advised to shake the biscuit box and call the cat during the evening and night as it's quieter and easier for the cat to hear and locate you

Thank you! What time roughly? That's quite a distance from us, but I'll go and look - he could have run along the canal.

It was around 8am. The cat was black and white, and looked quite thin. I didn't get a very good look at it as I was looking out of an upstairs window but there are a couple of black and white cats round here and it was not one of them. I remember it had no white on it's tail – noted because the local trouble-maker has a white ring on his tail. I did not get a proper look at it's face

Looked around Yarnton for a couple of hours, but no luck. Do let us know if you see it again, and thank you nonetheless!

Oh sorry. Yes will keep a look out. Don't lose heart my cat was found via Pets Reuinted North of Bicester weeks after he went missing

Cats are territorial so may well be returning home so worth being in contact with them or their neighbours. Cats can travel miles and do! If moved from Oxford I can post in other areas as only did OX3

Sadly not, not even in this country.
