LOST
Maisie
Name: Maisie
Breed & Species: Domestic short-haired cat
Colour: Blue
SimpleColour:
Went missing: 6 years ago
(23 August 2017 at around 10:00hrs)
Location: Rogers Street, Oxford OX2 7JS, United Kingdom
Health: Healthy
Age: 8 years old
Sex: Spayed Female
Collar: No
Microchipped: Yes
Markings: Round white patch on throat/upper chest, slightly bigger than £2 coin.
Circumstances: I was on holiday abroad and a friend who knows both my cats well was feeding them for me. Maisie's brother is still here, and moping around missing her. My friend saw both of them on morning of 23rd, but by 7pm Maisie did not return for dinner. This is most unusual, as she loves her food. If she had been nearby and able to come in, I think she would have. So I fear she has been shut in a shed or garage while someone is away, or has climbed into a vehicle which drove off without realising she was there.
Other info: Green eyes. Very friendly and approachable.

Maisie has now returned home, about 24 hours after I leafleted my street and neighbouring streets with your flyer. I think someone saw it and checked their shed/garage, and found her and let her out. She was hungry and thirsty, and (still is) emotionally very needy, but she was a strong, healthy cat to start with, and I believe with TLC will be fine. Thank you so much for the artwork for the flyers - I would not know how to put something like that together, and I think it really made a difference doing it in colour.

Perhaps you need to think of an easy way to let your site know when a pet has been found?

I put your flyers round Rogers St, Grove St, Middle Way and South Parade. The next day, she appeared, very hungry and thirsty, but alive. She has needed a lot of reassurance since - her previous confidence has gone (I hope temporarily). She is otherwise well (the vet has checked her), though she lost some weight. I think she was accidentally shut in someone's shed or garage without them realising (maybe they were away over the Bank Holiday?), and when they checked it, having seen the flyer, she emerged. I am so grateful for the flyer - I wouldn't have known how to put one together. A good outcome overall, but a very worrying 10 days without her.
