(14 July 2021 at around 08:00hrs)
Location: Stowood Close, Headington, Oxford OX3 9HD, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 10 years old (approx)
Sex: Spayed Female
Collar: No
Microchipped: Yes
Markings: Small brown area on the front of her chest (Usually appears when she has been in the sun)
Circumstances: Missy went off as she normally did after her breakfast but never returned for lunch. She is usually in the garden most of the time. It is very very out of character for her to have not come for her food.
Other info: Missy is a very very timid cat. Missy does not like shouting or loud noises. Missy likes to hide in small confined areas. Never go straight in to pick her up as she would feel threatened and can scratch and hiss.

There is a lady on Nextdoor that has reported finding a cat that looks like Missy in Rosehill, it’s a long shot but you never know

Hi Leela, thank you for your message. Missy is microchipped so it would be helpful if they could take her to the vets for the chip to be scanned? She is very very timid and I don’t think it’s possible she has gotten that far. She was a house cat up until 2 years ago. If you are unable to get her to the vets, is there any chance you could send me over some photos? Thank you

We saw Missy this morning around 11am in our back garden! She quickly ran off when she heard us talking (our door was open) and we haven't seen her since. We called your number immediately, hoping you might be home to call her in. We just wanted to let you know she looks well and is very close by! Will keep watching for her. What should we do if we see her again?

Hello! Thank you very much for your information! Missy is a stubborn bugger and refuses to use the cat flap. When my Dad went to work at 4am, she flew through the back door once opened, straight upstairs and laying on my chest which I have missed so dearly! She rubs her face on my chin (after she’s stuck her wet, cold nose on my lips) and rests her head beside my neck! Thank you so so much for getting in contact. Do you live directly behind us or further round? X

Missy appeared at 4am and came straight upstairs, laid on my chest and rested her paws and face and snuggled the rest of the night (morning). Thank you everyone! She is a little skinny, possibly she was shut away. She has most definitely missed her food! ??
