Hello Annalisa - cat found approx mid-August, but thought you might like to know about it, as a few details match. However, finder is guessing male, but only have only guessed this bcos they think it's quite large. They haven't been able to take for chip-check yet or to confirm gender, cos timid. They started feeding it cos is thin. Found in Abingdon, described as vocal, grey/tan tabby, with white around mouth/chin. I'm in touch with finder on UK National Missing Pet Register, they're being really helpful. But also check the 2 photos on AnimalsearchUK ref nr AFP202301. Sorry if not Max-e, just thought it looks similar enough in photo, and best to tell u incase.

Hi Alice, Thanks very much for getting in contact. I spotted this post this, this morning as i look regulatory to see if any updates. Sadly this is not my little one. I hope they find their home though.

Really sorry Annalisa, very alike aren't they? You could reg Max-e on ASUK, NMPR and Doglost (has cats too, and has great volunteers that cross check & tweet/share listings). Also, hav u reg'd Max-e's MC with scannerangel? It's free and simple, and if anybody tries to pass Max-e off as their own if she is in future scanned, even if they lie, it will pop up on the scanner that she's reported missing if vet/shelter is using scannerangel technology. (increasing thankfully). Currently, vet has to actually check their system after reading MC from scanner, and if somebody gives a good story they might not check. Also if ur on FB, u could post on Petlog lost & found, and local Cats Protect. If not, I can post for u. Do u check Petlocated also? RSPCA use that one

Hi Alice, Thanks for all this information. I have now registered Max-e on Scannerangel.com and the facebook groups. I do get a bit lost with the petlocated one as it seems over complicated for a simple website so not sure if Max-e is registered on there or not. I just want her home now - its nearly been 4 weeks and very upsetting! xx
