Someone called this morning, he said a dog matching muffin's description and location was picked up shortly after she ran out, and he called Noah's Ark Services to pick her up, and she's likely to be at the dog warden centre. We called the dog warden line but it's out of office hours, we can't do anything until Monday. Does anyone know the location of the dog pound, that we can go visit to be sure? We've been calling the dog warden everyday but they said there's no dog matching muffin's description, which is very odd.

Good news about Noah's Ark Service. I walked around marsh Lane to flood fields and spread the word of missing Muffin. There was a dog seen at the riding stables down Ferry Road the day before yesterday but this seems unlikely to be Muffin particularly in the light of Noah's Ark.It may be worth following up. Surely there must b e some way of contacting dog warden ...

I think they needed some sort of verification with the council, I'm not sure. But we drove down anyway, cuz we needed to give muffin her medication. The ladies at the dog pound were truly understanding and helpful, and they agreed to let us leave with muffin upon paying £120. We brought all the documents we could find to verify that muffin belongs to us. We have just reached home, and happy to update that we're now an awesome family of five again. A big thank you to all in the Oxford community, we are truly impressed. We couldn't have found a better community even if we tried.

The Oxford City Council had muffin all along since Wednesday evening. The dog pound faxed muffin's information over on that very evening, but when we called, the council said there's no match. Even with the microchip. Which was quite unfortunate. Someone saw the posters and called us this morning, he called an organisation and they in turn sent muffin to the dog pound 19 miles away. So we pursued crazily with the dog warden centre, together with the people from other dog charities who linked us to the right people. We finally tracked down the dog pound she was in, and the ladies there were ever so helpful and understanding. They agreed to release muffin upon us paying the fee, as muffin is under medication. So she is home now.
