Could you tell me if the cat was long or short haired please. Do you know if they were microchipped?

I drove past at some speed and only saw the cat briefly so I really can't be sure whether it was a long- or short-haired cat and whether it was microchipped. I would take a guess that it was short-haired, but can't be certain.I drove past last night and couldn't actually see that the cat was still there, although it was dark and so I may have missed it. Perhaps it has been claimed by the owner, or maybe the council have collected it so might be worth checking with them.
