Lost cat: Tortoiseshell and white British Shorthair cat called Karina - Paddington area, Westminster

Markings:	Almost inverted heart-shaped wedge of white on her face, apart from two small blobs of ginger, one on either side of her nose.
Circumstances:	I am disabled with an illness that includes poor temperature control. Because of this, I have attacks of feverish-type sweats and chills. I had given Karina and my other cat, Abigail, their supper and was relaxing before I went to bed. Because I had an attack of the sweats, I propped open my front door and Karina went outside. This was somewhere between 1.15 and 1.30 am in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Usually she will come back every twenty minutes or so, to check on me or will run in if startled. She hates being shut out, so I always have my door open when she goes outside. However, this time she didn't come back. Karina is used to going outside, but always stays close to home and returns frequently. This is completely out of character for her.
Other info:	Karina is tortoiseshell and white, with a wedge of white on her face, white chest, white markings on her tummy and white paws. She has bold stripes of ginger on her hind legs. The white marking on her face is almost like an inverted heart shape except for where it joins to the white patch on her chest. She has golden eyes. The rest of her colouring, on her head, sides, back and tail, is an uneven mixture of black and ginger.

Karina was discovered a long way from home, lying dead near Pembridge Villas/Lonsdale Road. She was found by a passer-by, who took her to her regular vet where Karina's chip was scanned. This lady then notified me through Nextdoor and gave me the number of the vet. Karina had been run over.
