LOST
Puffy
Name: Puffy
Breed & Species: Domestic long-haired cat
Colour: Brown
SimpleColour:
Went missing: 4 years ago
(07 September 2019 at around 19:00hrs)
Location: Paignton TQ3 3RN, UK
Health: Healthy
Age: 12 years old (approx)
Sex: Spayed Female
Collar: No
Microchipped: Yes
Circumstances: I have been slowly letting the cats out after moving and keeping them in for 5 weeks. She was startled by a msn coming up the stairs, ran up to the next flight, jumped off the balcony, onto the floor, and I couldn't find her. The neighbours saw her jump.
Other info: She is very fluffy, she has kidney disease so her gums suffer and she has terrible breath. Her tail is a little matted but she has lovely soft fur. She is friendly but quite nervous.

Empty contents of the hoover onto the garden as Puffy's scent will be there. Put some smelly tuna or chicken in her dish, and call her; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Put her unwashed blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot,or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe her scent on your garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden/house. Try a squeaky toy as it may attract her attention. Walk around the area trailing an object with her scent on, up to the door. Someone may be feeding her (Common problem) When it is nightfall, and your are searching use a strong torch as the light will reflect a cat`s eyes. When out looking for Puffy, wear the same deodorant say, that you use on a day to day basis, as she will recognize the scent. Keep looking under hedges, in empty buildings, anywhere a cat may hide and keep looking there - it's amazing how a cat can keep hidden. Record the other cat on the phone and walk slowly around when there's no traffic playing it, all the time listening for her. She may be stuck up a tree, look up too. Ask around, especially children, maybe offer a little reward for their help. Poster everywhere and keep checking them in case the rain has washed information off. Poster local shops, animals in distress, the zoo... anywhere local where animal lovers will look. Many cats get in delivery vehicles, but maybe Puffy was too frightened for this - maybe worth checking if anyone had a delivery that day - sainsburys, amazon, etc. Then call the company and ask where the van went next - most companies use GPS and can tell you exactly. Where did you use to live? Could she be making her way back there? She is microchipped so there is always hope. She's out there somewhere, you just have to narrow it down a bit! Thinking of you and Puffy and hope you are back together soon.

Hello, still missing. I've had a volunteer out too..I'm doing all of the above. I'm getting my other cat a lead and walking him too in the hope he finds her. The one I just bought was too small so I'll have to wait till pay day. Going to out some posters out again on sat. Through people's doors.
