Circumstances:	We have recently moved to the area. Mogget has been indoors for 6 weeks and we began introducing him to the outdoors this week. He went out into the garden and didn't return. Usually he is a homebody and has never been missing before.

Hi, when u change area cats got missing because they don t know the area and get lost. Try if some of your neighbours saw your cat ,he can be anywhere exploring. Did u try to call him with his favor treats?I used to do with my cat and worked .

Also leave any window on the back garden ,in case he return in nighttime while u sleeping

Hi Alba, thank you for your suggestions. There is a catflap unlocked which he is used to using. We have been going out to call for him around the local area, leaving his litter tray in the garden as a scent marker, and asking our former neighbours to have a check at our old place.

I have also heard people say leave some of the clothing you have worn recently outside as a scent marker
