Cat Lost Advice Don’t forget to put up posters in shop windows, library, takeaway shops, community centre, lamp posts etc It’s also worth printing out A5 leaflets to put through letterboxes of houses on your street & in streets either side of you, making sure you ask people to check their sheds/garages/out buildings. Put a couple of items of your used clothing with your smell on in your garden front & back (sheltered from rain) & a some used cat litter, as cats have excellent smell & can smell their way home via the wind. Cats only travel upto a mile away from home so not as far as lost dogs. Here are a few websites to register a “Lost” cat on that you should use; https://www.nationalpetregister.org https://www.animalsearchuk.co.uk/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwvo_qBRDQARIsAE-bsH-6QLoZ8tWeGzR0GZzm0hOJvX7XOSXsFoxl0G1MQJhVOzsGqYSZJEMaAqS2EALw_wcB https://www.cats.org.uk/peterborough/lost-and-found Ring the council every day just to check if they’ve collected him/someone handed him in. We lost our cat a few years ago & thankfully found him via a poster that was put up in the fish & chip shop. If I think of anything else I’ll let you know. Good luck!
