So sorry to hear your cat Molly is missing - my cat is also missing from same area! For no reason whatsoever disappeared 7 weeks ago - the not knowing what has happened to him is dreadful. I do really hope Molly is found quickly. When searching for my cat, Mr. Mcgee, I found a neighbours cat on West Road had also gone missing, as well as another from Merton Way and Cheviot View, Ponteland. I find this unusual in such a small locality and in such a short time, I think the village needs to be made aware -hopefully,there is nothing sinister going on - it is very distressing.

Thank you so much for the information Barbara, I agree that is very concerning, seems they are very similar circumstances and i am sure they would have been found if hit by a car. I wonder if we should contact pont news and views about our concerns. I am also a member of the facebook group Ponteland parents and could post something on there. As you say it is the not knowing what has happened that is so upsetting these cats are part of our families

Good morning Mollymittens I think you are right - I will contact Pont News and see if they will put something in the magazine. Like you, I just don`t see how these cats can disappear completely without trace - my cat McGee was a very large white cat, he also was chipped and to stray from home very unusual.

Hi Barbara sorry for the delay in replying. I am so preoccupied wondering all sorts of scenarios and what could of happened. My neighbours theory is that they have been chased by a fox into unfamiliar territory and may be a long way from home or have in fact been taken in by someone. In the days running up to molly's disappearance I had said to my husband that I thought she may be getting fed elsewhere as she wasn't eating much here. Makes me wonder if someone has stolen her as she was a beautiful, friendly cat, same goes for your McGee who sounds very striking. We can never give up on them, It is hard to describe the sadness. You must have found the last seven weeks so hard. Take care.
