Hi Alba, I already keep a Microchip scanner at home, that I have used in previous cases - and as a last resort, a trap cage. However, it would appear that the only way to keep this particular cat near, observe it's health -and ensure it has sustainable food /shelter for the winter , is to continue re-build it's trust - as a previous attempt to lift it up and scan it, only succeeded in scaring it away.for a while. It is very timid close up, with both cats and humans, but remains in the colony if allowed to draw closer at the rate it feels comfortable with. Meanwhile, rest assured, that when it becomes possible, I will be scanning it, getting a Vet's examination - and if needed - ensuring it has a safe home.

Cat was eventualy humanely trapped and adopted by me. Sadly, Veterinary investigations revealed heart problems and respiratory difficulties. I adopted it and gave it a warm, safe and very loving home, and medical assistance, sadly I also found out she had been shot by an airgun to the upper chest, had an overtight collar - and ingrown claw that had penetrated the pads. All were dealt with - and pain relief given. She was warm, safe, loved and awaiting a dental procedure for her badly rotten teeth, but before that could take place, her breathing became increasingly laboured - and an emergency Vets visit confirmed that her lungs and heart were losing function rapidly. As she was also showing signs of renal and thyroid problems, and the operations to investigate - plus medication for life if she survived the procedures at her advanced age - it was with very great sadness indeed that the Vet and I decided that the kindest act, would be to let her pass away in the warmth and comfort she had grown to know. I called her "Queenie" - and she was very loved. I am having her individually cremated - and her ashes returned to me, so she can rejoin her loving family here, and be always remembered as a lovely and cherished lady. By the time of her passing, she had aquired some lovely human and feline friends - and we shall all miss her very much. We thank her for letting us get to know her, however late in her precious life. R.I.P. our little darling xxx
