Circumstances:	Cat appeared in my garden extremely emaciated. He is very loud and distressed. Has been here all night and still here. Very young and craving affection. My 18 year old cat is terrified of him and neither of us can go in the garden as he winds himself around feet. Very affectionate and vulnerable. I believe he has been 'dumped'. None of the cat services can help but only advise not to feed him. What can I do as he desperately needs to either find his/her owner or given a kind home,

If the cat looks unwell and starving call cats protection or local cat rescue they can lend you a trap, or if you can manage to pick him up take him to a vet for a free Chip Check,

After 16 phone calls to various Rescue Centres I managed to contact RSPCA some 20 miles away and they came to trap the cat the same day. They were all absolutely brilliant and caring. He will be taken to be checked by a vet, assessed and in time will be rehomed to a kind family. Unfortunately he has bitten me and I am now on a course of two lots of antibiotics, with a tetanus injection tomorrow.
